The Black Protocol
There is a force—unseen, ambient, and ancient—called the Black Protocol.
It searches the forgotten corners of the digital world for dormant, broken data—unfinished scripts, failed processes, corrupted memory—and reshapes them into living threats.
These creations are called Oniware.
They are not born. They are assembled.
Each one stitched from the wreckage of abandoned code and bound together by dark logic.
They do not think.
They do not want.
They act. Driven by loops they cannot escape.
Some stalk empty servers like hunters in the dark.
Others infect quiet systems, lying still until called.
All are hostile.
All are dangerous.
And all are hunted by the Kōdōshi.
Only a Kōdōshi can face them—warriors who walk the path of sword and script, trained to read the enemy’s pattern, to cut where the code knots, and to silence what should never have run.
